Two Different Minds – Vedic Reading Series Episode No. 3

In this podcast, I read the astrological chart of my guest, Daniela, who lives in California. I met this wonderful woman in Thiruvannamalai where we were dancing and singing and praying for the blessings of Arunachala shiva. Daniela travels the world with a hula hoop, empowering local communities by sharing her wisdom and performing art.

In this podcast, we discuss how cultural exchange is possible and what is lacking in the Indian mind and what is lacking in the Western mind and how we can endeavour to fill the gaps.

Daniela also has agreed to help me record the Soundarya Lahari, the classical textbook of tantra which is being written by Shree Shankaracharya in honor of the divine feminine sitting as Mount Himalaya for every tantric aspirant who want to be become a living God or Goddess.

The tantra Vidya (or the knowledge of divine feminine) seems like a very confusing term. Neo-tantricks are marketed as a tantric tool of sexual liberation alone, missing completely other aspects of tantra.

In India, tantricks are seen as a group of black magicians who worship Kali and live in graveyards, doing all kinds of kinky activities under the name of spirituality.
Most of these techniques are classed under dogma of orthodox hinduttva.

For these reasons, an audio documentation of a text book, something like Soundarya Lahari, is very important for both the West and East, and I really appreciate Daniela’s interest in this regard.
