The Shape of Dreams is a special exhibition at the Dalí Museum in Saint Petersburg, Florida, that explores 500 years of dream-inspired paintings from the 16th to 20th century. The exhibition features over 50 works of art by artists such as Salvador Dalí, Max Beckmann, Odilon Redon, and Paul Delvaux.
The exhibition explores the different ways that artists have depicted dreams over time, and how dreams can be used to explore the subconscious mind, the nature of reality, and the human condition. The exhibition also examines the relationship between dreams and art, and how dreams have inspired artists to create new and innovative works of art.
The Shape of Dreams is a fascinating and thought-provoking exhibition that offers visitors a unique opportunity to learn more about the world of dreams and how they have been interpreted by artists throughout history.
In addition to the physical exhibition, there is also a data visualization project called The Shape of Dreams that explores how people look for the meaning of their dreams on Google. The project was created by Federica Fragapane and Paolo Corti, and it uses Google Trends and Google News Lab data to create a variety of visualizations that show how people are searching for information about dreams.
The Shape of Dreams data visualization project is a valuable resource for anyone who is interested in learning more about how people dream and how they think about their dreams. It is also a reminder that dreams are a universal human experience that have been a source of fascination and inspiration for centuries.
