Our fifth havan got over in Sri Shalam. It is good to know about Sri Shalam. Sri Shalam is traditionally regarded as the rare shetra where jot linga and shaktip are worshiped together. If you go there uh in the temple you could see jotur linga and the shaktipa which is both are there. Uh this is also representation of the shiva shaki. So that that particular temple is unique in that regard like it's a is a union of Shiva and Chaki and Arnarishra and so on and so forth. So here are some facts about Sri Shalam. If you want to visit this I would really recommend you to go through all these stuff. We have conducted this haven in uh Mukund asham which is just near to the Kadesh temple. Katka is uh is a Telungu name for the B actually that is why this particular place is known as the Kesha. The mythology goes in this particular way. Keshapa he was the one who was uh used to live in this particular area. Uh he used to feed the devotees those who are going to visit the Malik Arjuna through this particular way and uh uh he cook food using a pot.
the people who got uh jealous about his service uh because he is uh be getting becoming more and more popular and so on. So people destroyed his port which is over there. Then uh what happened is that once the port is got destroyed the Shiva himself uh manifested as the port so that he can continue cooking and help the devotees whoever is coming to that particular place. So that is why this particular place is known as Keshur. And you could also see a place which is very near to this particular location where you can see panchadara like uh water drops which comes uh which comes and divided into five pa means five. So that is where the chantara is the adish who did the tapas over here. Also one of the important uh thing which is associated with the Sri Shai is the presence of the yogini akama dvi. She was uh she's she's actually from Karnataka and she came to Sri Shai in order to meditate on Shiva and uh she she identified Malikjuna as the lord as the Shiva and uh she did a lot of tapas in this particular area and if you go a little bit uh through the water uh there is board services available you can go to the Akama Devi K1C uh whatever she's has been done there and so on so forth and uh there is in during the medieval age like this is still a forest there is also the largest type that is available um during the medieval age when the devotees uh who comes to worship the Shiva there uh there is five m people can come there stay there and uh um go to the temple and discuss about va veas and so on and so forth so there are Five mud which is been around.
There are five muds which is around this particular main temple. Those are Gandha madam uh then uh Bhimashangara madam then vibbuti madam. The the important thing about the vibbui madam is that if you go inside and clap your hands the vibbuti the sacred ashes will come down from the um from the uh top of this particular mud that using a particular yra that yra was there which is being transferred to the inside the temple after the renovation. So you can see these yendras inside the temple actually. Then rdraata madam uh then uh saranga saranga madam. So these are the five madam which is which you can see uh which you should not miss if you are visiting this particular temple. Also there are some learning processes been happened during uh we are doing the har.
There was no wood actually like uh so when we while we were doing the uh previous oven uh the it was which is very near to the city and we will be able to arrange the wood from the mills or something like this uh very easily and this is one of the important learning learning phase which has gone through uh during the process in uh processes which is happened [clears throat] during u you know uh this particular uh uh place. Uh we went to the nearby village. Uh this is a tribal village.
There is lot of uh uh you know uh uh peoples who are tribes they are living and we hired some people to cut down a dried up tree which is in which was inside the ashram in order to make the wood for the um hav or the homa which is in south India it is also known as homa.
in North India is known as Havan. And another important thing was is this like uh there were a lot of lot of monkeys which were disturbing the Havan Kund in the morning time. We kept because of that we kept uh the uh you know kumba uh the kalesa kala kumba inside the uh room and uh which is very near to the havan kund and uh this is also one of the important learning how to work with the monkeys because hanuman used to disturb the rishies while they are doing the sadas which you can see in puranas and so on and so anyway uh salam was one of the best experiences which we had during our Havan journey.
And if you like to join any other Hav and spend time in the nature with yogis and rishies and uh spiritual hot sports uh let us know or you could join the sana the link is available in the website which is inside the blog.
